The Pellworm lighthouse can be seen from all parts of the island. What can you experience during a viewing? View from a height of 37m from the platform of the Pellworm lighthouse over the island and the Halligen. The Pellworm registry office is located on the top deck of the lighthouse. During the tour it was very interesting to hear what material the lighthouse is made from, segments from Switzerland and Italy. This steel was previously used in tunnel construction. It has been standing since 1907. The tower can therefore sway slightly and can withstand the storms. It is also significantly lighter than concrete towers. It stands on 137 oak posts. Inside the tower there are electrical dehumidification devices that prevent rust in the tower caused by “condensation water” running down and thus keep the steel dry. Pellworm is said to have a surplus of electricity that cannot be dissipated. You can only take a tour of the Pellworm lighthouse with a guided tour by the lighthouse keeper. You should have booked a viewing appointment in good time and picked up the tickets at the tourist office in Tammensiel in advance, as only a maximum of 10 people can take part in one appointment. The port of Pellworm is not only a berth for the cutter fleet and landing stage for excursion and cargo ships, but also a marketplace, venue for many celebrations, bus station, meeting place for a little snack or a place to go for a delicious snack. Despite a certain hustle and bustle, things are tranquil. Pure relaxation.

As of May 2022: Viewings are possible again after prior registration with the spa and tourism service (currently moved to the Pekke Welle on the 2nd floor) and are definitely recommended! When the weather was good, we had visibility as far as the lighthouses of Amrum and Westerhever. Telephone: 04844 18940 Children aged 8 and over are allowed to go upstairs. The gallery will be open until wind force 6. Adults pay €6, children aged 8-16 pay €3. Monday and Tuesday: 10:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday: 2:00 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 3:30 p.m 3G still applies!

Very friendly atmosphere, not only landlord Arno (you should watch the videos from "TV Total" on YouTube 😁), great service, delicious food. We like to come here at any time of the year, even in winter with radiant heaters. Bigger than it looks from the outside. The children can pick up a small toy box with old cars etc. to bridge the waiting time. https://www.hafen-pub.de/
