At the edge of Treia there is a memorial stone that is meant to commemorate a prisoner of war camp from the time of the First World War. The inscription, which was carved into the approximately 105 centimetre high boulder, still gives rise to a lot of speculation today. People call this monument simply the "Russian Stone" and thus already allude to its historical background.

The St. Nicholas Church in Treia is located on the federal highway 201 near the Treene Bridge. Two important traffic routes used to cross here, the trade route running from west to east and the Treene, which was very busy at the time. The whitewashed church building is dedicated to St. Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors. ©Image pixabay
