At the edge of Treia there is a memorial stone that is meant to commemorate a prisoner of war camp from the time of the First World War. The inscription, which was carved into the approximately 105 centimetre high boulder, still gives rise to a lot of speculation today. People call this monument simply the "Russian Stone" and thus already allude to its historical background.

The St. Nicholas Church is in Treia. Since the small river Treene flows through Treia, it is easy to explain why the church was dedicated to St. Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors.
