Ankerode, first mentioned in a document by Otto I in 951, bears the traces of a long history. In the 16th century, the residents left their farms, possibly as a result of the Peasants' War of 1524-1525. Nowadays, a cross on the site of the Ankerode church is a reminder of bygone times and the former life in this historic place.

Barbecue area Rhumspringe - An ideal place for a rest; even with several people. Plenty of seating available. A shelter and a large shelter are also available and offer shelter if the weather should not play along.
