The Tornower See is near Tornow, a little south of Teupitz. There is a nature trail. Very nice paths along the bank and in the forest. There are benches and rest areas.

Teupitz emerged as a Slavic settlement. A castle was first mentioned in 1307 on the castle peninsula on Lake Teupitz and was referred to in older documents as Tupcz, Tupzig or Tupitz.

The name Tornow is of Slavic origin and derived from "thorn bushes". The site, originally laid out as a circular structure, can still be seen on the village square. Past the war memorial, the hiking trail turns right onto the cobbled Seestrasse. On the left, the historic country inn "Zur Linde" invites you to take a break. Tornower See, which has two bathing areas, is only a few meters further on.

Past the war memorial, the hiking trail turns right onto the cobbled Seestrasse. On the left, the historic country inn "Zur Linde" invites you to take a break. Tornower See, which has two bathing areas, is only a few meters further on.

Starting in Teupitz, the three-kilometre circular trail (marked with a yellow St. Andrew's Cross) leads around the picturesque Tütschensee near Tornow. The start and finish is at the Gasthaus Schenk in Landsberg. First the path leads past the Gesenberg, on the slopes of which wine was once grown. The beautiful hiking trail, surrounded by wild trees, leads through the slightly undulating meadow landscape to a small forest area. Here the Fuchsgraben, the outflow of the Tütschensee, is crossed. East of us now lies the Tütschensee, a protected natural monument. The path on the bank with several small bank accesses always gives new views of the water surface. Waterfowl species can be observed here all year round. On the water are swans and ducks. Gray and great egrets are not uncommon in the shore areas. On the east bank, the path leads through young red oak forest until it joins the path towards Teupitz.
