A small wooden observation tower stands here at the edge of the forest, offering an unspectacular but beautiful view over the hilly landscape.

The “river” is the Elbe Lateral Canal 🤓

It's a wonderful place to cycle, but you could also use a bench to take a break from time to time.

The houses without windows are remnants of the old on-site shooting range. These were the target bunkers or the bullet trap bunker. During the course of the ESK construction, the access from the barracks was blocked. A new system was therefore built at Wendisch- and Deutsch Evern and the old system was dismantled. The rest was pushed aside. You can also see the walls that separate the individual shooting lanes.

Landwehr near Lüneburg is a forest area with partly narrow paths on which you can hike but also ride MTB.

Strange concrete houses that stand here in the middle of the forest, they have neither windows nor doors!
