The painter and graphic artist Max Lingner (1928-1958) spent the last years of his life in a summer house in Prieros after returning from exile. The house on Lake Streganz served as his summer residence and retreat, while his main home and studio were in Berlin-Niederschönhausen. The local history museum preserves the memory of Max Lingner. He donated dedicated prints of his graphic works "Paris 1943" and "Pyrenean Farmers" to the municipality of Prieros, where they were exhibited.

The Prieros Mill, or rather its site, was first documented in 1321. The Prieros Mill was a compulsory mill; the surrounding villages were required to have their grain ground there until 1823. Around 1900, a steam engine was added as an auxiliary power source. Grain milling operations ceased in 1928. Afterward, the Prieros Mill operated solely as a sawmill. It was completely shut down in 1941. The mill buildings have since been converted into apartments. The current course of the Dahme River was originally a bypass channel, while the original Dahme riverbed now ends in the former millpond. The Heidesee Tourist Information Center is located at Prieroser Dorfstraße 18a, near the village green. The new building was completed at the end of 2006. The building houses the community hall, a meeting room, a kitchen, public restrooms, and administrative offices for the local history museum and the Prieros organic garden. The Heidesee Tourist Information Office has its own offices here. Very nice round and very beautiful lake

Here children can still be children and pursue their natural needs.

Nicest lock keeper of the whole tour - we were allowed to leave our canoe here and from here we walked to Prieros to do some shopping and have some ice cream. In addition to the locks, we were given tips for the rest of the tour and a nice chat.
