The current town hall of Wittstock/Dosse was built in 1905/06 in the Historicist style, combining Neo-Gothic elements with historical components. The building's origins date back to 1274, although earlier structures were incorporated into the new building. The building was destroyed inside in a mysterious attack (March 20, 1954). After restoration from 1992 to 1997, the town hall was restored to its former beauty, and the painting in the plenary hall was also reconstructed.
