The Au (Sieg) train station was opened in 1860 on the Deutz-Gießener railway, which is now part of the Sieg line. In 1887, the Oberwesterwald railway also went into operation, providing a connection to Limburg (Lahn). As the last station on the Sieg line in North Rhine-Westphalia, Au (Sieg) is important, for example, as the terminus of two S-Bahn lines and for local transport fares. This forest path is very good for hiking! In terms of surroundings, it is nice and quiet as you move further and further away from the swimming pool.

The museum is very well maintained on the outside. Unfortunately it was already closed. The inside is certainly worth seeing too. I will visit it at the next opportunity.

Beautiful forest swimming pool! I just wouldn't want to swim there myself because the water is very cloudy and you can't see what's bubbling around underneath you...
