A lovely little outdoor swimming pool in the Strudelbach valley

A highlight created by Komoot is located in the middle of a forest area, which isn't even accessible by a forest path. Unfortunately, it's unclear what exactly warrants a highlight at this point. It's definitely not the Hohscheid viewpoint.

Shortly before the end of World War II, Nussdorf was almost completely destroyed in fighting between German defenders and advancing French troops. Both churches also burned down during the fighting. St. Martin's Church suffered much greater damage, as the large amount of wood used in the pews and galleries generated much more intense heat. The surrounding walls were partially burned out, and the choir vault, in particular, suffered so much damage that a large portion collapsed during the first rainstorm.

Nice little forest with trails that provides lovely shade in the heat and is perfect for a walk.
