The first reliable evidence comes from the year 1330. In 1727, the historian Schannat described this church as the oldest in the Fulda abbey. In 1952 it became necessary to build a larger church building. For this reason, the previous church building in Schondra was demolished. The church tower of the previous church building was incorporated into the new church building; Its basement, which is in the Romanesque style, is now used in combination with a porch as a funeral hall. The inauguration of St. Anne's Church took place on November 15, 1954 under the Würzburg Bishop Julius Döpfner. What happened there? At the turn of the millennium, the water level had already fallen. However, the lake was still almost 5 m deep. As far as I know, the fish are gold orfs and not goldfish. By the way, they were there then and many years before. Gold orfe are color variants that descend from the ide (leuciscus idus).
