Nice quiet path for a walk. If you have a lot of time and patience you can watch the kingfisher hunting (especially in winter)

8월 1, 2022, Stockelsdorf Church
In 1902 the foundation stone for the Stockelsdorf church was laid, and on March 15, 1903 the neo-Gothic church was consecrated. The plans for the church were drawn by the Hamburg architect Groothoff, according to whose plans the Lorenz and Matthai Churches in Lübeck were built. Even today, after Stockelsdorf has almost grown together with Lübeck and has taken on the character of a town, the church with the 40 m high, slender tower and the mighty nave, 14.90 m high and 31 m long, towers over the surrounding houses and the town of Stockelsdorf. The church, built in the neo-Gothic style, has an interior that looks as if it was cast in one piece. The pulpit, altar and pews as well as the round vault and the gallery are made of light-colored wood, which conveys a friendly and warm overall impression. In the altar area is the baptismal font, which consists of a wooden base with a brass colored baptismal font. In 2003, for its 100th birthday, the church in Stockelsdorf received new interior lighting designed by the architects Schlossmacher and Jungk. The slate roof was completely renewed in 2005 by the Stockelsdorf company Pilarczyk. On June 18, 2011, the newly designed church forecourt was inaugurated and the new church lighting was put into operation. Since then, the beautiful Stockelsdorf church has also come into its own as the center of the town. https://www.kirche-stockelsdorf.de/index.php/gemeinde/kirche

8월 12, 2021, Curau Church
The Curau Church is the church in the village of Curau - a district of the municipality of Stockelsdorf - in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein. It is located in the middle of the village, surrounded by the (former) Kirchanger. It is one of the two churches in the Stockelsdorf parish and is used today by the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Curau for services. It is a single-nave hall church made of red brick, approx. 35 m long and approx. 15 m wide. On the sides of the nave, the walls are made of field stones up to a height of about 1.5 meters. The nave has a white classical portal on the south side and four large window arches on each side. This is followed by the angular apse with five windows. The nave and the apse are covered by a two-part gable roof covered with red roof tiles. On the south and north sides of the nave there are smaller additions (sacristies), of which the northern one is more recent. The church has a square tower which towers above the roof of the nave and which has a cornice in the middle and two sound openings above each. The tower is closed off by a two-part, copper-covered tower dome, which is also square. There is a door to the west of the tower. In the (ornamental) triangular gable above the classical portal is a marble plaque with the inscription Lord, I love the place of your house and the place where your honor lives. from the 26th Psalm, 8th attached. The current church is a building from 1828 - and the third church on the site. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curauer_Kirche

The Stockelsdorf Church in Stockelsdorf in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein is an Evangelical Lutheran church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany. It was built in the years 1902/03 according to the plans of the architect Hugo Groothoff in neo-Gothic style and consecrated on March 15, 1903. The construction of the church became necessary after the parish of Stockelsdorf (with Stockelsdorf, Mori, Eckhorst, Groß Steinrade, Bargerbrück, Bohnrade) was separated from the parish of Rensefeld in 1899 - due to the previous population growth in the 19th century. The church was built of red brick, has a gable roof covered with slate and is approx. 30 m long, approx. 15 m wide and has a 40 m high tower. It has two bells that sound every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in a ′ and c ′, and they sound at 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The church is one of the two listed buildings in Stockelsdorf. Today the church becomes through the Ev.-Luth. Parish of Stockelsdorf and the Martin Luther parish of Stockelsdorf-Mori used for church services. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockelsdorfer_Kirche

The church was built of red brick, has a gable roof covered with slate and is approx. 30 m long, approx. 15 m wide and has a 40 m high tower that rises slimly into the air. Everything around the church has been re-paved, there is a toilet and benches to rest. Everything was fine, but unfortunately the church was locked.

Nice little walls. On the side of the Aldis there is a "No passage" sign, but as a cyclist and pedestrian I was never warned. There are locks for bikes in front of the church

The bridge was closed for well over a year. At the end of November '19 something finally happened. Shortly before Christmas, the new bridge was actually finished and released for use. My most beautiful Christmas present☺️

Finally there is a bridge again! For months, which was built in 1999, locked because it was dilapidated. Now a new one has been built here, which was inaugurated in mid-January 2020 by the Mayor of Stockelsdorf and the Mayor of Lübeck. The moat once surrounded the medieval territory of Lübeck. It was dug in 1303-1350 using natural water. More information: https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lübecker_Landgraben
