The former rectory was built in 1915/1916. The house is largely unchanged. It has been a listed building since 1987. Today, the building houses a branch of the Volksbank Berg, which is also the owner.

A wide path was cut in to destroy the last piece of forest nature with the harvester. For the children from the nearby children's home, the forest had been a beautiful forest playground for decades. Was there no other way?

The views from the path to the Dhünntalsperre are a natural experience, because there you can hardly hear any sounds of civilization. Only the wind in the leaves and the occasional dog barking in the distance
