The trail leads through the Irtenberger Wald protected area, past numerous interesting natural features, such as the so-called "Blutsee," a lowland moor. A very beautiful and idyllic setting. On foot, please avoid the Blutsee in the crescent shape. You have to leave the main path 😃. Not suitable for bikes; only possible on foot. Mosquito repellent recommended. There are tree trunks along the trail that you have to climb. Most of them are quite deep. In some places, it's best to walk to the left or right of the trunks.

Duck 🦆: This route could indicate a leisurely or family-friendly hiking trail that is fairly flat and easy to complete, similar to a duck's leisurely pace. Hare 🐇: A trail named "Hare", on the other hand, could be a medium difficulty route that is a little more challenging and requires a certain level of endurance, similar to the fast pace of a hare. Snail 🐌: The name "Snail" could suggest a slow or relaxed hiking trail, ideal for leisurely strolls or for people who prefer to explore at a leisurely pace.

The Blutseemoor near Kist is a nature reserve in the Irtenberger Forest, which is part of the fauna-flora-habitat areas (FFH). It is known for its swinging lawn, which is the largest in Lower Franconia and floats on an underground body of water. The name Blutsee comes from a type of algae that sometimes turns the water red. The moor is not allowed to be entered as it is life-threatening.

The stone named "Käthle" is a natural monument and a popular destination for hikers and cyclists. It is located on a hill and offers a beautiful view of the landscape. The stone has an interesting story: it is said to have been rolled there by a woman named Käthle who had fallen in love with a knight who was already married. When she found out about his wife, she was so desperate that she dragged the heavy stone out of the village and threw it onto the hill. She is said to have died there. Whether this is true or not, no one knows, but the stone is certainly an impressive sight.

Wonderfully easy and short route, ideal for a short walk in the afternoon, no matter what time of year. Before you head back into town, a rest bench invites you to have a little picnic.
