This extensive complex, approximately 1.4 km long, stretches through the Enzenbach valley, currently housing over 100 objects – primarily farms, but also commercial, craft, and religious buildings, along with their furnishings and household goods, from all over Austria (and South Tyrol). My conclusion: An interesting and lovingly designed museum village. Approximately in the center of the complex is an inn serving regional dishes from the individual regions of Austria. My personal highlight is the small general store, which sells souvenirs, books, and rare sweets (e.g., silk crackers) among the exhibits.

For a jog in Deutschfeistritz, I recommend the section along the Mur. This path offers a flat and pleasant route with beautiful views of the river and the surrounding nature. You can also admire the sculpture park, which presents interesting works of art along the route. The route around or around the Etscherlgraben is also great. It is perfect for jogging in peace and enjoying nature.

The Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing, as the central open-air museum of the Republic of Austria, was incorporated into the Universalmuseum Joanneum on January 1, 2019. In 1849 the first scythe hammer was built in Deutschfeistritz. With the help of water-powered, heavy hammers, scythes were manufactured until 1984 - 60,000 pieces a year. All information about the museum is available at http://www.sensenwerk.at/de/.
