For a glacial river, there are a surprising number of beautiful beaches here, including smaller “lagoons” where the Isel doesn’t flow so fast, so you can actually swim – if the temperature doesn’t put you off!

Nice rest area where you can refill your drinks supply. Today (July 1st, 2022) this was the only station where the water actually ran. With white water information board.

There are three amphibian ponds here to support the preservation of the amphibians, as many amphibians in East Tyrol are now threatened with extinction. A great project with display board. If you take your time, you can see newts and common toads!
