It has its origins in a picture of Our Lady of Lourdes that was attached to a tree in the church forest in 1885 by the then pastor Heindl. In 1929 she received the grotto made of tuff stone and the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes. At the request of the population, the forest chapel was expanded again in 1957, a bell was purchased and a bell tower was built. In 1985 the forest chapel was completely renovated. In the months of May, June, July, September and October, foot pilgrimages take place on the 3rd Sunday. In August on the Marian holiday of the Assumption (August 15th). The traditional search for a hostel always takes place in December.
