A church was mentioned here as early as 1503 - in the Viennese Alps at the site of Kaltenegg, not far from Lichtenegg. In 1631, documents show a branch church dedicated to Radegundis and Oswald. When her family was spared the great stock market crash of 1872, a certain Antonia Winter had a church with two towers and a vicarage built out of gratitude.
