Well-maintained and well-maintained facility

A very good mix of restored buildings and ruins, just as they were excavated! Lovingly maintained, it looks as if the residents of some of the buildings will soon return... even fresh vegetables are regularly placed! The highlight is the restored, fully functional thermal baths!

It was that time again. 100 actors lived for 4 days, from Saturday 12 August 2017 to 15 August 2017, as in ancient times. For the spectators it is always one huge spectacle - there are craftsmen to see, home-cooked food. www.carnuntum.at/de

The open-air facility of the Roman city of Carnuntum is suitable for young and old alike - be sure to take a cultural tour/guide (it doesn't cost the earth). Group rates only for 20 people or more. Normal price 13 euros (Sept. 2024), reduced rates 11 euros (make sure to bring your ID card). The tour costs 4 euros per person.
