Presumably a Roman bridge pier made of a cuboid stone in the "Roman Gorge" in Göriach. In 1969, a section of the so-called "Roman Road," the ancient road leading toward Virunum am Zollfeld, north of Velden am Wörthersee, was examined and recorded. The route runs from Villach via Kaltschach, Sand, Kantnig, Weinzierl, Fahrendorf, Kranzlhofen, and Göriach to the area of the southern Forstsee lake and from there to the northern shore of Lake Wörthersee, which is reached east of Unterwinklern. Retaining walls, pavement, a bridge pier, and track grooves with a track width of 93.5 cm, carved into the rock in places, were identified and partially exposed on this section.
