Normally you don't just pass by here when you go on a bike tour in this area. But making a detour to this church is definitely worth it. The entrance doors alone are something special. This high altar is also by Meinrad Guggenbichler and is really worth seeing.

Straßwalchen is ideal for a little rest. Here you can comfortably eat an ice cream, stroll through the pretty alleys or admire the high altar carved by Guggenbichler in the parish church.

The parish church in Oberhofen was built in the 15th century. Since then only the tower has been added, the rest of the building is still in original condition. Worthwhile is also a look into the church. The three altars and the pulpit were created by the monastery sculptor Meinrad Guggenbichler and are considered to be his most important works. The parish church can be visited by prior arrangement. If you are interested, contact the parish office at +43 (0) 6213/8205
