Ausserbraz (also: Außerbraz, 704 m above sea level) is a district of the municipality of Bludenz in Vorarlberg (Austria). The town is located about 5 km as the crow flies from the Bludenz city limits and borders directly on the municipality of Innerbraz, with the Mühlebach and the Mühletobel (also: Frattetobel) forming part of the natural municipal border. Ausserbraz, like the Bludenz districts of Bings and Radin, is part of the Klostertal and not, like the city of Bludenz, part of the Walgau. The name Braz comes from the Latin "prates" - meadow. For historical reasons, Ausserbraz is often referred to as "Braz" together with the municipality of Innerbraz, although "Braz" is sometimes used only for the municipality of Innerbraz.
