Beautiful lakeside walk, max. 45 minutes. View of the Ramsau-Alm, where you can also stop for refreshments (self-service, daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Accessible from the Grünberg summit, via the Mitterweg from Grünbergbauer, from the PP at the GH Silberfuchs and from the PP Wamering. From here, climb via the Gassnersteig to the Katzenstein and into the Lainautal to the Mayr-Alm.

The hiking trail coming up from Kogl is moderately steep, but quite tricky when wet. At the top there is a beautiful view towards Almtal/Kasberg, possibly even parts of the Priel massif and to the southwest to the Traunstein.

Very nice hut with a good selection of food and drinks. self service. Opening hours: daily 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Beautiful view of Katzenstein and Laudachsee. Easy to reach from Grünberg in 1 hour on a forest road and hiking trail. Lake circumnavigation possible. Ascent to the Scharte and the Katzenstein from here via the Gassnersteig (only for experienced hikers). Closed in winter, but the forest road from Wamering to the hut has been cleared and is easy to walk on.
