The ORS transmitter site is a striking technical landmark in the Vienna Woods and visible from afar. Situated between forest paths and meadows, it makes a convenient waypoint on your route. From here, you have some beautiful views over the surrounding hills and down into the Vienna Basin.

From the Löwenkopf viewpoint, a beautiful view opens up down to Kaltenleutgeben, nestled between wooded slopes and hills. You can take a short break among the rocks, gaze into the valley, and enjoy the tranquility above the village. Ideal as a short panoramic stop on your Vienna Woods hike.

Here, a closed barrier blocks the road, but pedestrians can easily bypass it via a narrow passage. This serves as a small landmark along the route and also indicates that there is hardly any traffic from this point onward.

From Bierhäuslberg, you have a fascinating view across to the Kritsch quarry with its steep walls and terraces. Between the trees, the view repeatedly opens up to reveal the brightly gleaming rock in contrast to the dark forest. An interesting vantage point that combines nature and old industrial history.

The short detour to the summit is a worthwhile, scenic addition to your hike or run. Ideal for a break amidst the natural scenery and rock formations.

The Kaltenleutgeben quarry lake lies idyllically nestled between steep rock faces and dense forest, shimmering in rich shades of green and blue on sunny days. Along the shore, you'll find lovely spots for a break with views of the water and the former quarry face. Please observe the local regulations – swimming and cycling are restricted or partially prohibited in the lake area.
