The small Winterelite Lake near the Winterleitenhütte – a rewarding hiking destination in summer, perfect for ice skating in winter. The Murtal-Bank offers a wonderful spot to relax with a view of the lake.

The Großer Winterleitensee is idyllically situated in the heart of the Seetaler Alps – surrounded by impressive peaks and a landscape that is worth seeing all year round.

A hut accessible by car and a starting point for various hikes. Idyllically situated on Lake Winterleiten. I can't understand why an alpine hut would have a day off. This limits your planning as a (long-distance) hiker! It's also a shame they only open daily from 10 a.m.! https://winterleitenhuette.naturfreunde.at/

A beautiful bridge with a great view of the Mur River. There's a drinking water fountain on one side of the bridge.

A small public park with a lovely playground for children, restrooms, and seating areas for a rest. The Kastanienlaube (restaurant, crêperie, and café) completes the picture. Formerly known as Sparkassenpark (Sparkassen Park), it's now also known as Generationenpark (Generations Park), as it allows young and old to enjoy physical activity alongside each other.

Since it's only open on weekends and holidays, we were unfortunately unable to visit. It houses the world's highest planetarium and a café. For more information, see sternenturm.at
