The Achenseebahn was opened in 1889 and is one of the oldest cog railways still in existence. It is the only mountain railway with cog and adhesion sections still in operation in Austria.

The listed locomotive shed is located behind the carriage and workshop hall of the Achensee Railway and was built in 1899 on a rectangular floor plan. The barrel roof transitions into a pent roof that spans a lower part of the building.

The so-called Ramminger House is around 500 years old. The house housed, among other things, a grocer and a drugstore. The two-story town house has a bay window and facade paintings from 1779. The house is still inhabited.
