The Hassia spring was drilled in 1936 by Wilhelm and Otto Hinkel in cooperation with the city of Bad Vilbel. Since 1978, the spring has been solely owned by Hassia Mineralquellen. During bottling as mineral water, this iron is removed for visual and taste reasons.
