A true natural monument: This ancient oak tree has survived many storms and wars. With its imposing trunk and gnarled branches, it is a silent witness to history—and a perfect place to pause and marvel. The "wooden mother," as this natural monument is also known, has been determined to be 400 years old through tree-ring drilling.

A tranquil lake with an idyllic location on the outskirts of the city. Popular with walkers and cyclists who want to take a short break. Depending on the season, the trees and sky are reflected in the water with an almost kitsch beauty—ideal for a few minutes' rest and enjoying the view.

The Bavarian Police Museum presents its collections in the Triva Tower, a fortification built at the same time as the Tilly Redoubt and now integrated into the popular Klenze Park. The history of the police still awaits discovery, and so the museum invites visitors to embark on a journey of discovery from the turbulent times of the Bavarian Revolution of 1918/1919 to the battle for the Wackersdorf nuclear reprocessing plant. Topics range from police training during the Third Reich to border security during the Cold War. The exhibition provides insights into the inner workings of the police, displaying a wide variety of familiar and obscure pieces of equipment as well as surprising personal documents.

Bridge

The Konrad Adenauer Bridge in Ingolstadt is a four-lane road bridge over the Danube in the Mitte district. Like the Donausteg pedestrian bridge downstream, it connects the old town with Klenzepark. The girder bridge was opened in 1952 as the Danube Bridge and renamed the Konrad Adenauer Bridge in 1977. During the renovation carried out between 2001 and 2002, the entire superstructure of the bridge was replaced, among other things. After 32 km, the Schutter River flows into the Danube here. It rises near Konstein and initially flows southward through the Urdonautal valley, before leaving this valley to the west near Waldau. Along its course, it feeds an extensive system of water ditches, where numerous mills once provided modest prosperity—a kind of economic stream, which also justifies the monument at the mouth. It's just a pity that the actual mouth consists of a simple sewer pipe.
