The hike is particularly worthwhile in spring when the trees are in bloom and the broom is fragrant.

It was originally called Volcán Fuencaliente. In 1677/78, it erupted on the feast day of Saint Anthony and was renamed Volcán de San Antonio. The volcano lies at an elevation of 632 meters above sea level. At its base, it has an outer diameter of approximately 1 kilometer. Its fairly round crater is about 150 meters deep.

The petroglyphs of Las Tricias are rock carvings by the indigenous inhabitants of La Palma (Benahoaritas), located in the cave dwellings of Buracas near the village. These carvings, mostly over 2000 years old, mainly consist of geometric forms such as spirals and circles and originate from a pre-Columbian culture whose exact meaning remains unclear.

These are truly special trees that are unfortunately becoming very rare.

The Buracas Caves are a prehistoric and ethnographic site on the island of La Palma, located near Las Tricias. The archaeological site consists of natural caves that were once inhabited, necropolises, and three groups of geometric petroglyphs.

In the Las Tricias area of La Palma, there are petroglyphs created by the indigenous Guanches. These rock carvings are mainly found in caves such as the Buracas Caves.
