The Garden of Aquatic Plants was created in 1959 by architect Pietro Porcinai, reclaiming an abandoned stone quarry. Today, it features a natural pool with nymphaeums and aquatic plants from Lake Trasimeno and other areas. The interconnected pools and water features create a striking balance between nature and architecture. Since its restoration, the area has become a unique biogarden, where water lilies and lotus flowers bloom in summer.

From Passignano you can set off for the islands of Maggiore and Polvese.

In Passignano del Trasimeno the cycle path is embellished by the open landscape on the lake, the possibility of having a break in one of the lakeside bars, and the panoramic points.

Here you can enjoy the serenity of the placid waters of Lake Trasimeno while relaxing on the grass of the free beach. A regenerating bath, especially in the hottest months of the year, is the best way to appreciate a break from cycling.

Passignano, perhaps formerly "Passo di Giano", the ancient god of gates and passages, is located on a promontory on the northern shore of Lake Trasimeno. The village is characterized by a beautiful lakeside promenade, which is particularly lively on weekends and when the weather is nice. It is always populated by tourists and locals who stop off at the numerous cafes, ice cream parlors and restaurants near the port or on the beach. The church in the center of the village, built in 1937 by the architect Giuseppe Agamennone, is called San Cristoforo (Chiesa di San Cristoforo).

Following the Trasimeno cycle path from Tuoro you arrive at the lakeside of Passignano, with the Rotonda in the background that inspired the famous song (even though it talks about the sea, it was actually written here...). The place is very suggestive, Passignano is a beautiful village, the islands are there that you can almost touch them. In all seasons, it is worth it
