Beautiful hiking trail past the bird sanctuary. We saw bee-eaters and spoonbills. We also came across a turtle. Very pleasant hiking trails, although it can get a bit wet after rain. But highly recommended.

The Sani Wetlands Bird Watching Area is home to diverse bird species, including herons and pelicans. You'll find well-maintained boardwalks and observation points. Don't forget to pack your camera and binoculars. It's open during daylight hours and admission is free. You'll find parking nearby.

Caution. if the elevator isn't running, you can walk down the stairs to the secluded bay. at the bottom a closed grid awaits you. This means that without refreshment you have to climb the 293 steps again. and that at 32 degrees in the shade.
