At the end of the promenade there is a beautiful sandy beach, primarily used by locals.

Sitia is a small port town and also the center of sparsely populated northeastern Crete. Tourist offerings are largely limited to cafés and restaurants along the large harbor promenade, allowing the town to retain its original charm. It's worth a stroll.

A Venetian castle located on a hill in the old town. From here, you can overlook the harbor and the surrounding bay. Can be visited every day except Tuesdays; admission is €5 (as of May 2025). Beautiful little water area with many different waterfowl near the harbor on the opposite side of the promenade from the sea. Very idyllic 👍

Interestingly designed small round grandstand with seating surrounded by palm trees directly on the promenade.

One of the best places for donuts.
