One of the few unlocked country chapels on Naxos. It is dedicated to St. Paraskevi. Access is somewhat difficult.

The so-called Temple of Demeter at Girula (whether it was actually dedicated to Apollo remains uncertain) is one of the most important archaeological sites on Naxos and, based on recent archaeological findings, has been partially restored. Along with a nice, compact museum, the site is even open on weekdays in winter (except Tuesdays, like most museums here). (Admission: €3-5).

Right on the beach, with your feet in the sand, it's incredibly cozy. In strong winds or rain, you can sit protected behind a glass wall overlooking the sea and watch the sun set behind Paros in the evening.

The Temple of Demeter on Naxos is open year-round, except on national holidays. Specific opening hours may vary; one website states the temple is open Monday to Sunday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, while another source lists hours between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM, with Tuesday as the closing day. It is advisable to check the current opening hours before visiting.
