In Filoti there are several staircases worth seeing, including the marble stairs inside the tower of Filoti, which has three floors, the stairs that lead to the church where the Folklore Museum is located, and so on.

A small museum that welcomes donations. A visit is worthwhile. The building has stood since 1730.

The impressive church of Panagia Filotitissa on Naxos, dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, is located near the Barozzi Tower. The church is estimated to have been built in 1710 on land that the locals acquired from the feudal lord Barozzi after a long struggle. It is a three-aisled basilica with columns and a dome, a magnificently sculpted bell tower, ancient icons, and an ornate marble altar screen.

The chapel is the starting point for the tour to Mount Zas. The bus stop of the same name is but a few curves further down the branching road.

The architecture of the monastery Christi Fotodotis reminds strongly of a fortress. The monastery was originally founded in the 6th century AD and is believed to have been built by a Byzantine princess after being rescued by the rough seas in the area. In the 16th century, the three-nave basilica was converted into a domed church.
