Scenic river canyon right next to the town of Litohoro. A road leads down to some riverside restaurants. The Hellenic Mountaineering Association hut and information center is just before the descent into the gorge, for information about climbing the mountains around Mt Olympus.

Nice little spot to use as a resting or even a turn around spot for a day hike. I've continued onwards and it's a pretty exhausting climb ahead - not really worth it, if you don't continue all the way to the waterfall or the Cave of Dionysos, which will at least be another 60mins.

Behind the St. Nicholas Church is a large hiking parking lot without fees. In front of the church there is also a good drinking water fountain The square around the roundabout is full of cafes and restaurants

Sandy beach lined by a low-key promenade and restaurants.

Starting point of the hiking trail to Prionia, and onwards to Mount Olympus, following the Enipea river, passing several turnoffs to other trails. It begins behind the restaurants occupying the idyllic bottom of the canyon.

Uphill from the large park and below the maze of narrow old town streets the large plaza surrounding the old Nicolao church opens for a view, and offers a walk out to the viewing terrace into the Enipea Gorge and up to the many peaks of the Olympus. The free hiker parking lot is behind the church. The 55 peaks outdoors store, the best in terms of equipment and useful mountain information, is just a few steps into the western street radiating off the traffic circle.
