쉬운 Birdforth 하이킹 및 워킹 코스

멋진 전망을 갖춘 다양한 하이킹입니다. White Horse까지 가파른 오르막 때문에 힘듭니다. 반드시 마지막 오른쪽 꺾기(울타리를 넘어야 함)를 피하고 대신 계속 직진하세요. 짖는 경비견이 '길' 내내 당신을 따라다닐 뿐만 아니라, 길은 대부분 엉겅퀴와 거대한 쐐기풀로 완전히 뒤덮여 있고 두 개의 울타리를 넘어야 합니다.

Walk to Sutton Bank not just for the stunning scenery, but to watch gliders take off, towed by small planes, and glide back down. Sometimes they feel just an arm’s length away! A unique and thrilling sight.

Expensive parking but some nice routes

Great views

Impossible to miss if you are following the Cleveland Way and well worth pausing to admire the view. You can see Whernside on the horizon, 31 miles away.

One of many good quality tracks and paths that riddle the plantations and woodland around Hood Hill, with many of them providing welcome shade on very hot and sunny days.

Large car park under the White Horse, £2.50 all day as at July 2024. Free parking in a smaller off-road car park on Osgodby Bank at the southern end of Hood Hill Plantation. Very steep steps up to the top, but there is a metal handrail that alternates from the left to right side of the steps. Fabulous views from the top, although as others mention, you can only really see and appreciate the horse from the bottom of the bank.

Steep path up to the summit, which is shrouded in mature trees. Nevertheless, there are still good views to be appreciated.
