Fort Krasnaya Gorka (Alekseevsky) (in 1919 renamed Krasnoflotsky) is one of two powerful coastal forts of the Kronstadt position of the Peter the Great Naval Fortress. It was built in 1909-1914 to protect against a possible attack by the fleet of the German Empire. It was part of a powerful mine and artillery position that reliably protected the approaches to Kronstadt and St. Petersburg from the approach of large enemy ships. It was named after the village of Krasnaya Gorka, next to which it was located (now the settlement of Fort Krasnaya Gorka in the Lomonosov District of the Leningrad Region).

The lantern structure was made in France in 1910, and the lighthouse itself is a round brick tower 38 m high, painted with horizontal red and white stripes. At the top of the tower is a black gallery and a lantern. The focal plane of the lighthouse is at a height of 37 m. It gives 2 long flashes every 16 seconds, the color of which (red or white) depends on the direction of movement to the lighthouse. Next to the lighthouse there is a radio tower, which is about twice as high as it, and there are buildings for related services. The area is closed for inspection.

Broken ring, worth driving past and taking a breath

The memorial, which is part of the "Green Belt of Glory", is located on the western shore of Lake Ladoga. It was opened on October 29, 1966. It is located on the Vaganovsky descent, from where the motorcades took a course to the eastern shore of the Petrokrepost Bay of Lake Ladoga, and where they then returned, having covered a distance of 30 kilometers.

Quite a large territory, on which fortifications and military facilities of varying degrees of preservation are located. The main attraction is a large-caliber artillery gun on a railway platform. The place may be of interest to fans of military history of Russia and the USSR. On the territory there are several memorials dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, in one of the premises there is a small museum. From the high southern shore there is a beautiful view of the bay. The territory of the fort is easily reached by highway from the platform "68 km".
