The monastery was founded in 1397 by a monk from Moscow's Simonov Monastery and very early became a place of pilgrimage.

The estate was built in the middle of the 18th century under Lieutenant Colonel Berdyaev. Under the Berdyaevs, the construction of the Eldan Church in Bratkovo is nearing completion. Then the estate was transferred to the landowners Kandalintsev, and later to the noblemen Endurovymi. Under the Endourovs, cheese-making and butter-making production was established in the Bratkovo estate.

The Spaso-Prilutsky Dimitri Monastery is an Orthodox monastery founded in 1371 in the bend of the Vologda River by St. Sergius of Radonezh, a disciple of St. Demetrius Prilutsky. One of the oldest and largest monasteries of the Russian North.
