The Iža-Leányvár Castle (Latin name Celamantia or Kelamantia) was a Roman military camp on the territory of today's Slovakia, Nitriansky District, Komarno County. In Komárno you cross the Vah river (where it flows into the Danube) on a bridge. Here it is advisable to stay on the only moderately paved and temporarily difficult cycle path on the Danube embankment, because this way you will pass the important archaeological site of Kelemantia, an ancient Roman military camp that once had an impressive fortification with numerous towers and gates decreed. The cycle path ends soon after. Now you have to cover a few kilometers to Moča on the road. Between Patince and Žitava there is another short stretch (6km) of cycle path on the Danube embankment, so you can save yourself some federal road. At Patince (or Patince Kupele), a popular thermal water lake invites you to stop for a swim.
