What is there to say? Lake Bohinj is one of top three or four tourist attractions in Slovenia, so, of course, you should go. But you can truly enjoy and see all its beauties only if you stay long enough.

The trail via Mala Osojnica to Velika Osojnica is a good choice for a longer hike. It's about a 45-minute walk along a steep forest path to Mala Osojnica, at an elevation of 685 meters, and then another 20 minutes to Velika Osojnica at 756 meters. Awesome views of Lake Bled and its surroundings, the Karawanks, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and the Ljubljana Basin await you. You may recognize this view as the subject of one of Bled's most famous panoramic photographs.

Lake Bled is located in the Upper Carniola region (Gorenjska) near the spa town of Bled at the foot of the Pokljuka Plateau. The lake lies at an elevation of 475 m. It's easy to walk around the lake, and there are plenty of places to stop for refreshments! The cream cakes are an absolute must! During the summer months, it's very busy, especially on weekends! Cycling around the lake is not recommended!

A picturesque lake, worth seeing at any time of day or year. A walk around it is quick and offers many impressions and views of the lake and its surrounding buildings and bays. This also includes a stroll through the hotel zone with its many bars and restaurants.
