Where the dirt trail meets the pavement, there is a small parking area and a 0.2-mile walk to see some old historical estates. Check out the world-renowned Morven Park International Equestrian Center and the huge Davis Mansion.

Blackburn Trail Center has a small parking area and is a great spot to hop on and off the Appalachian Trail via the Appalachian Trail Spur. Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC) runs the cabins, and you are pretty likely to run into some long-distance hikers in the summer.

Morven Park spans 1,000 acres, giving visitors the opportunity to explore gardens, historical monuments, and equestrian trails. The trails bring bikers to vernal pools and provide the opportunity to spot abundant wildlife. There is a steep section in the middle of the park on the north-east side of Ridge Top Trail to beware of.
