The Tea Cottage Loop is a moderately challenging loop trail through Hitchcock Woods. There are a fair amount of intersections on the trail, so make sure you have a map or GPS to navigate.

The Pigeon Trap Loop is one of the main trails in the Hitchcock Woods. Certain points can be sandy, so it is best to go with boots.

Hitchcock Woods, at 2,100 acres, is one of the largest urban forests in the nation. There are miles of hiking trails that cut through the park, ranging from narrow paths to wide hard-packed dirt road. The park is named after the Hitchcock family, who used to own the forest.

The Virginia Acres Park is an urban park in Aiken. There is a 1-mile walking trail, multiple picnic areas and ball fields.

The Carolina Bay Nature Preserve is a great city park. The center of the park is Carolina Bay and there is a .5 mile walking path that circles the perimeter of the park.

One of the larger ponds nestled between the gardens in Hopelands Gardens. There is a loop trail that circles the pond, which is a great place for a relaxed walk.

Riverview Park is a great park within walking distance of the Savannah River. The park has ball fields, views of the river and picnic area.
