Well, it has a colonial feel, meaning palm trees in a British town center, nothing more. You can buy all sorts of things, from tea and tobacco to spirits and jewelry. However, it's no longer cheaper than in Germany; I compared prices in several shops and usually ended up paying the same or more. Customs regulations also need to be considered. Heligoland is much more interesting in that regard.

From the top of the bunker, you have a beautiful view. Inside, you are protected from wind and rain.

A wooden walkway leads to this viewpoint from the southeast. It begins at Playa de Bolonia, near the Baelo Claudia archaeological site, and is approximately 430 meters long. If you want to continue through the restricted military area uphill to the road or the dune, you have to climb over the railing. The restricted area is not fenced here, but there are signs indicating that the passage may be closed at any time.

Truly worth seeing! The climb may be strenuous, but you'll be rewarded with a magnificent view. Even in hazy weather, you can see all the way to Africa! Definitely worth it 👍😊

Sturdy shoes and long pants are required, as the path is littered with thorny plants. It can be quite windy at times. Parking is best at the kiosk in Betis. Enjoy the view over Bolonia.
