The Canal takes a passage under the town of Pouilly, here you will no longer be able to follow the Canal, an alternative route that is not always easy to find (thanks Komoot).

Panthier Lake (or Panthier Reservoir) is a 130 ha lake in Côte d'Or (Burgundy, administrative region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté) located in the communes of Vandenesse-en-Auxois, Créancey and Commarin. It is the largest lake in Côte-d'Or and one of the five reservoirs created to supply the Burgundy Canal. It is also a bird sanctuary and is listed in the general inventory of historical heritage.

This church is so small that it is impossible to find it even on Google Maps.

With an area of approximately 60 hectares varying with the water height, the lake is to the west of the village of Cercey, served by municipal roads to the north and east. Its emissary towards the Burgundy Canal is the Cercey channel. The Armançon, nascent, flows approximately 500 m to the east and the A6 motorway of the sun passes less than a kilometer as the crow flies to the northeast.

The village, with the neo-Gothic Saint-Symphorien church. The nave and the bell tower topped with an octagonal spire covered with slate date from the 19th century, but the origins of the building date back to the 13th-14th centuries. The church was also renovated in the 15th-16th centuries. We linger in front of the round tower providing access to the attic, the trilobed windows adorned with stained glass and, above all, the cornice lined with small sculpted heads hidden at the back.

Great cycle path, completely car-free.
