Magnificent point of view from all the places of the circuit. very interesting for a family outing including with small children, the last 4 years old was in "follow me".

Very large lake (retained on the Aude) with a beautiful view of the two roads that go down there. The one that goes to Angles seemed to me more pleasant in terms of curve, and circulation.

Lake Matemale is an artificial lake of 223 ha located at an altitude of 1,541 meters in the municipality of Matemale, in the Pyrénées-Orientales. The lake supplies the Escouloubre hydroelectric plant, it also helps to regulate the course of the Aude. The dam controlling the reservoir was built in 1959.
