It was a wonderful hike through a beautiful old beech forest. This is part of the largest contiguous mixed deciduous forest in Sweden. It's practically the equivalent of Germany's Hainich National Park. How beautiful! Heard lots of nuthatches, but unfortunately, didn't see any dippers. The Naturum information center is lovingly designed. You get tips on the hiking trails, lots of information about the beech trees and their inhabitants, and there are free restrooms and a café. A visit is definitely worth it.

Very cute, delicious breads and cakes, whole pots of tea and coffee. An overnight stay with a historic feel. Very nice hosts!

Looked to be an amazing shelter spot, there are toilets nearby as well, and you are really close to the main river.

Campsite with shelter. The campsite is located next to a swimming area with parking, jetty and dry toilet. There is a barbecue area at both the swimming area and the campsite. The shelter can accommodate 2-3 people. Drinking water is available at the nearby preschool. There are two shelter-huts not visible from the gravel road, each ones entry directed in opposite directions (north or south), which might be helpful depending on the wind conditions when there is bad weather. The toilet facility is located south of the shelters, where the path leads back to the gravel road. The bird-watch hut is located in the north west. If you arrive in the dark this might be useful.

A few meters further you have a beautiful view over the lakes. Also suitable for bathing.

Nice small campground in the Nationalpark with toilets, firewood, campfires and sunny fields. Really nice spot to stay a night.

There are multiple spots for a tent in case the shelter is occupied. Bins for thrash are close to the shelter and there's a small wharf for lake access. Loads of mosquitos so keep that in mind :)

Not the newest shelter, but it will keep you dry. Toilets at the parking place nearby.

Great Vindskydd (windshelter) along the trails of the Skåneleden with the typical fire pit. Lake Eksholms is just a few meters away, so you can get water for your camp. Make sure to treat it though.
