Beautiful little town in the Hunsrück region

Next to the mill building, a small plank staircase leads down to the footbridge over the millrace. Caution: the iron supports holding the planks protrude significantly into the steps and may be hidden by leaves or snow!

At this point in the wide stream meadows, the Simmerbach indulges in a little whitewater frenzy.

Super nice big swing

There is no parking here. The parking lot for the tour is located above and can be reached via Hauptstraße - Fichtenstraße - Im Farrich.

A beautiful, long, and very sturdy swing with a great view of the landscape. A small shelter is also available, perfect for a break. If you want, you can gain momentum while swinging using the rope anchored in the ground.

Here, on this spot, stood an old oak tree that was felled or fell over years ago. Two birch trees later grew out of the stump, as you can see in the photo. A new tree has now been planted directly next door. A piece of the trunk of the old oak tree still lies behind the bench.
