Really fun. The downhill toward the east is often a ditch from the water washing it out. The clays within can be slippery if wet so be prepared. The stream crossing was great

Be warmed up! The dirt was grippier here and a great mix of terrain. There was a big drop into what looks like was once the basement of a house! It really isn’t marked as an expert line, the easier line is to the left if you’re traveling counter clockwise. It’s at least 3 feet and after a fast flow section. So glad I chose the left. I have 3 photo of it in here.

Maybe the toughest section out here. The downhills were chunky with quite a few drops that would require familiarity so keep alert. Uphill would be a workout indeed.

Probably my favorite section. A deceptive chill straight leads you to a downhill and off camber left curve which is full of loose dirt and rocks. Assuming you don’t wash out the rear end like I did the first time you’re headed to the first challenging downhill full of loose shale surrounding big embedded rocks nothing too sketchy. A short technical climb comes next and then the trail mellows out while you catch your breath. Finish with some short up and downs across dry creek beds and a nice twisty section after the two wooden bridges. Tons of fun.

Swope Park is the largest park in Kansas City, and is a popular place for mountain biking and hiking. The most popular trail in Castelwoood State Park! The trail is fun for intermendiate to advanced riders and a good learning opportunity for beginners. The first half of the trail is flowy hardpack which turns into a steep rooty downhill run and a rutted climb known as Cardiac Hill. Its also convenient to loop in the Roller Coaster and Lone Wolf trails as you go round this trail.

A less frequented trail, tucked away from the road, perfect for both children and families. If you're seeking a pleasant trail before visiting one of the nearby towns, this is an excellent choice! It's nestled in dense forest and is frequented by mountain bikers, so please exercise caution.
