Great views from much of the road that runs alongside the loch, Ben Hee, Ben Klibreck and Ben More Assynt are 3 of the mountains hereabouts. The Dalchork bird hide is worth a visit when water levels are high or after a prolonged wet spell. Can see a variety of wildfowl, Hen Harrier and Osprey have also been sighted.

Views from the Invershin to Ullapool road. It's generally quiet with plenty of passing places to dodge any traffic. Keep an eye out for the plaque to Ferdi of Belgium tucked away in the vegetation at the side of the road. I have no idea about his back story, or why it is there.

The cafe reopened in 2024, the outside seating area is great, made from old whiskey barrel staves but the outside serving area is not always open. There is now a parking fee, so bear that in mind if you are planning to start your ride from the falls.

The information board sometimes blows over during the winter, interesting back story ... but is it true or not ?

When the river is in spate, this bend is even more impressive.

A good parking spot for several excursions in the World Heritage site of the Flow Country on road bike, gravel bike or mountain bike.

Original stone bridge over the River Shin, now overgrown and blocked off as it is too dangerous to cross. Nice to look at from the new bridge though.

It's a nice spot to take a few minutes to appreciate the upper part of the Kyle. Just sit on the bench and enjoy the tranquility.

It is closed off, you can't cross it as it is in a dangerous state and nature is taking it over.

Here you’ll find picnic benches, a drinking water tap and even a playground.

This road is known locally as "The Crask Road" and is equally beautiful as it is brutal at times! If it's wet there will be a lot of water running down the roads, and the potholes around will vary depending on the last time it was redone. Be on the lookout for the Standing Stone in the valley as well!
