The "valley" is about 100m deep and has a size of about 72 hectares. Because of its steep, wooded flanks, the valley in the Tafeljura is also known as the small "Grand Canyon" of the Baselbiet. Nature lovers in particular get their money's worth in the "valley", because in addition to the natural vegetation, the many waterfalls and beautiful ponds, the nature reserve is home to many rare animals and plants of the region. A small, private nature reserve, beautifully landscaped.

Very nice and idyllic place for a break.

A lovingly designed recreation area by the pond. New wooden railings by the pond, high enough. New benches to rest on and enjoy the view of the pond. The large carp often swim on the surface, so you can watch them. On the other side of the dam, a small pond has been set up for the amphibians. A small paradise has been created here.

The Talweiher nature reserve is a small, untouched natural paradise next to the north-south route. Here you can watch birds and beavers and even have a barbecue at the rest area at the southern end.
