Peak of the Camaderry Mountain. Camaderry at 699 metres, is the 90th-highest peak in Ireland. Mountain range: Wicklow Mountains

Remnants of structures from the period of mining activities. For the first half of the 19th Century lead mining in the Glendalough area was confined to the Glendasan Valley. It commenced around 1800. Up until 1960 Wicklow was the foremost mining county in Ireland with records supporting commercial mining in the area over the last 200 years in the valleys of Glendalough

St Kevin's Way passes through here. Information boards available

Free parking area. Unguarded, no water source. Occasionally some campers stop here, despite the lack of services or facilities.

The Wicklow Gap is one of the highest passes in Ireland. At this point there is even a road over the pass. The St Kevins Way pilgrimage route also takes walkers from Glendalough over the pass.

Camaderry is a 699 metres high mountain and is situated in the southern sector of the Wicklow Mountains range. Nearby you can find the Turlough Hill with 681 metres. Both are Irish Hewitts. Hewitts are hills which are over 2000 feet high. Camaderry's summit is marked by a big rock with a few small stones on top.
